Terms & Conditions of Sale


All item prices shown on the website are the total price you will pay. VAT is not applicable as HelgaBaby is not currently registered for VAT. Shipping is free for all products provided that the delivery address is within the UK. If you are ordering from outside the UK, we ask that you contact us for details of shipping charges.

Payment Terms

All items must be paid for in full at the point of order. We use PayPal for your protection and peace of mind, but you can pay as a guest using by Visa, Mastercard and American Express if you do not have a PayPal account. No items will be dispatched by us until full payment has been made. Once payment is made, and provided the items required by HelgaBaby have been received in line with our conditions stated below, we will dispatch your order within the specified time period. If this is not possible for any reason we will advise you by email as soon as possible of any additional time required and if this is not suitable, we will offer a full refund.

You will receive an email confirmation as soon as your order has been processed so please be sure to provide us with your correct email address. We will confirm the details of your product together with an order number. Please keep this order number safe in case of any queries.

Customer Responsibilities

Quilts & Cushions

When sending us your baby clothing for your order, it is your responsibility to provide the right number of clothes as advised on our website product pages. Please note that all clothing needs to be in a suitable condition and strong enough to be used for cutting and restitching. If we do not receive enough items or clothing is so worn that we are unable to use it, we will contact you by email to request further clothing to be sent to us in order that we can complete your order. Postage costs to send extra items is the responsibility of the customer.

If you are unsure about the condition of any specific clothing you would like us to use, how many items you should send or have any other questions about your order, please contact us prior to sending anything to us.

We generally ask you send us slightly more items of clothing than we need for your order to allow for any that may not be suitable for us to use. However, if there are any specific items that you would like us to use, please put a note in with the clothing when you package it up to send to us. Provided that the specified items are in suitable condition, we will aim to use them in your order. If we are unable to use them for any reason, we will advise you accordingly. Any clothing that we don’t use and is still complete will be returned to you with your order. Any items that we have cut or used in any way will not be returned unless specifically requested.

We know how precious the items are that you send to us but unfortunately can only take responsibility for them once they arrive with us. We therefore strongly recommend that you send everything to us by Signed For/Recorded Delivery.

Other Personalised Products

For any personalised products that include a child’s name, intial or age it is your responsibility to ensure that ALL the information provided is correctThe information you provide with your order is what we will use to make up your personalised item and we therefore cannot be held responsible for any errors where we have been provided us with incorrect details.


All items dispatched by us have proof of delivery. Quilts and cushions are delivered by courier and will require a signature upon receipt. These items should arrive within 3 working days from date of dispatch. All other items are sent by Royal Mail 1st Class post and should arrive within 2 working days from date of dispatch

Whilst we are unable to accept responsibility for orders once they are out for delivery, if your order has not arrived within 5 working days of your being notified of its dispatch please let us know and we will try our best to help.

Returns and Refunds

Our aim is to make sure that you receive exactly what you have ordered within the specified time period and in perfect condition. However, if for any reason you receive the wrong product or it arrives with you damaged in any way, please contact us within 5 days of receipt of the goods. Provided that the item has not been used and is returned in the condition in which you received it, we will arrange either a replacement or a full refund. However, we reserve the right to refuse an exchange or refund if you have not contacted us within 5 days of receipt to advise us of any issue.

We are unable to provide any exchange or refund for:

  • Any personalised products, unless they are faulty due to an error on our part.
  • Any goods that have been used or damaged by the customer.

Should you need to return any products, please use a courier service or Signed For/Recorded Delivery as we cannot accept responsibility for any packages until they are received by us. We will only provide a refund once we are in receipt of the returned goods.


All orders are subject to availability of requested materials and we will contact you by email should there be any issues with availability of materials.

Cancellation Rights

Under the Consumer Protection (Distance Selling) Regulations 2000, if you order through our website or by telephone you have a statutory right to cancel your order and receive a full refund for the price paid provided that it is not a personalised product. If you wish to exercise this right you must contact us by email before the end of the 10th working day after you receive the item from us. You will be responsible for the postage cost of returning the items to us and this cost will not be refunded. If you wish to cancel an personalised product order, you may do this by emailing or telephoning us prior to sending us the clothes for your order and we will provide a full refund of the price paid on your original order.


We aim to ensure that all of the information on our website is correct but please note that all items are handmade and therefore will have slight variations and all personalised items shown are examples only or other customers’ orders. Whilst we use the same styles and sizes for each product, every personalised item that we make will look very different when made from your child’s own personal clothing, hence their charm and uniqueness. We are therefore unable to replace or refund any personalised items that do not look identical to those shown on the website.
